All you need to do is find someone who has lived far beyond your years. Ask them about their life. Record it with the camera in your phone. Share a snippet you think will educate, encourage, or empower our generation. And don’t forget to hashtag #OHNit.

Lather, rinse, repeat. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sounds too easy right? Maybe not enough rules for you? Or are you thinking, “What good can this really do? What change can this actually make? Why should I do this?”

Those are all fair questions. Think about it this way. What motivates you, and what motivates us?

If you’ve ever lost someone close to you that you feel left the world too soon, then you know why you should do this. If you wish you had one more day to ask them about their life and keep those memories forever, then you know why you should do this. And even if you haven’t lost someone, if you can imagine what it would be like to lose the stories of the people you love, then you know why you should do this. That’s the motivation for you.

If you’re upset by how we’re treating each other these days and you feel like it’s getting worse, then you know why we should do this. If you feel helpless to make change and wish there was something you could do, then you know why we should do this. That’s the motivation for us.

What you do in this very moment will have a lasting impact for generations to come. The only obstacle we have is time, and that’s getting shorter by the minute. Now get out there and OHN it.
